How to use the image compressor

  1. Choose a browser-supported image under 40 MB and 32 million pixels.
  2. Set the maximum width from 100 to 8000 pixels and choose JPEG quality. The tool preserves aspect ratio and never enlarges the image.
  3. Download and inspect the JPEG before replacing your original. Transparent areas become white.

Frequently asked questions

Will the result always be smaller?

No. Already optimized images may grow when re-encoded. Compare the original and output sizes and try lower quality or width.

Is the original image changed?

No. The tool creates a separate download and leaves your source file untouched.

Are animated images supported?

Output is a still JPEG. Animation is not preserved. HEIC, RAW and SVG support is not promised.
